Police have recovered the body of a newborn boy from under the Hanif Flyover in Sayedabad, Jatrabari, Dhaka.
The baby is estimated to be about one day old.
The information was confirmed by Sub-Inspector (SI) Md Fakhrul Hasan Faruq of Jatrabari police station.
He said that the body, wrapped in a white cloth, was recovered on Tuesday around 8:45am after they received a report.
Following legal procedures, the body was sent to Dhaka Medical College morgue for an autopsy in the afternoon.
The SI added that it is unknown who abandoned the deceased newborn at the location.
