In a bid to improve traffic order on Dhaka's 300-Feet Road, the army conducted a joint operation on Friday, issuing fines totalling Tk270,800 and filing 119 cases against vehicles for various violations.
According to a press release from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the joint operation on Friday involved personnel from Uttara Army Camp, Traffic Police, and Khilkhet police station.
The team set up a checkpoint along the 300-Feet Road targeting illegal parking, unlicensed drivers, unfit vehicles, speeding, and motorcycles without helmets.
During the operation, four vehicles were seized, and a case against one individual is under process under the Narcotics Control Act at Khilkhet police station for carrying drugs.
