Students have blocked the Science Laboratory intersection in Dhaka, demanding the cancellation of the quota system in government jobs and the retention of a merit-based recruitment circular.
Consequently, traffic on this major road has come to a standstill.
Around 1pm on Sunday, the students of Dhaka College blocked the Science Lab after passing through New Market and Eden College in the capital.
Anti-quota protests: Is it an endless battle?The students chanted various slogans filling the intersection with their voices.
A protesting student said: "Our movement will continue until the quota is abolished. The privilege given to a special class should be eliminated. Otherwise, this movement spreading across the country will intensify."
