DSCC announces 100% removal of sacrificial animal waste

Both Dhaka city corporations have successfully completed the removal of sacrificial animal waste within their respective deadlines

The Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has removed 100% of sacrificial animal waste from its 75 wards by 12:15am on Tuesday.

The announcement came after the removal of waste from ward No 62, DSCC Public Relations Officer Abu Naser confirmed.

According to the updated information up to 12am, 100% of waste has been removed from six out of 11 permanent and makeshift cattle markets of the Dhaka South City Corporation, he added.

The Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) claimed to have successfully completed the removal of sacrificial animal waste within its announced six-hour timeframe.

DNCC Mayor Md Atiqul Islam said: "With everyone's cooperation, we have been able to completely remove the sacrificial animal waste of Dhaka North City within the six hours declared earlier.’’
