Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) has banned the transport of sacrificial animal skins, and raw or cooked meat on the metro rail for the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha.
DMTCL Managing Director MAN Siddique announced this at his office in Eskaton, Dhaka, on Thursday.
He said that animal skins, and raw or cooked meat are not allowed on the metro rail. All other existing restrictions will also remain in effect.
Additionally, the managing director mentioned that metro rail services will be suspended on the day of Eid.
What is prohibited on the metro rail?As per regulations, carrying or consuming any kind of open food inside the metro rail is prohibited. If carrying a water bottle, it must be kept with you. Smoking is not allowed on the metro rail. Gas-filled balloons are also prohibited. Passengers are urged to adhere to all the pre-existing restrictions.
