The fire service has formed a five-member investigative committee to look into the Mollabari slum fire incident in Karwan Bazar, Dhaka.
A Fire Service and Civil Defence (Media Communication) officer confirmed this information on Saturday afternoon.
He said Fire Service and Civil Defence Director (operations and maintenance) Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Tajul Islam Chowdhury will lead the committee.
Other committee members are - Dhaka Division Fire Service and Civil Defence Deputy Director (Member Secretary) Md Saleh Uddin; Assistant Director (Member) Md Anwarul Haque, Deputy Assistant Director of Zone-1(Member) Md Tanharul Islam, Senior Station Officer of Tejgaon Fire Station (Member) Md Nazim Uddin Sarkar.
He further added that the committee has been asked to submit the report within the next 15 working days.
