Two of the three people undergoing treatment at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery in a fire incident that took place on the seventh floor of a residential building in Dhaka's Gulshan area have been released on Monday.
The patients are driver Musa Sikder, 33, and office staff Rawshan Ali, 30, a nurse at the emergency unit of Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, confirmed Dhaka Tribune.
Two people died, and several were injured in the fire incident that took place on Sunday night.
Fire service managed to save at least 22 people alive from the building; of them, nine were male, 12 were female, and one child.
Fire Service and Civil Defence Director General (DG) Brigadier General Md Main Uddin said a total of 19 firefighting units managed to bring the flames under control after four hours at around 11pm.
Meanwhile, the Fire Service and Civil Defence Director General (DG) Brigadier General Md Main Uddin formed the five-member investigation committee following the end of the primary rescue operation.
The head of the investigation committee is Director (Operation and Maintenance) Lt Col Mohammad Tajul Islam Chowdhury.
