In pictures: Dhaka North City Corporation’s eviction drive in Mohammadpur

Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) authorities demolished several illegal establishments at Mohammadpur’s Basila on Monday. 

DNCC Mayor Md Atiqul Islam visited the site while the work was being done.  

On Sunday, the mayor said that no prior notice would be given to evict the occupiers of illegal establishments near the Lautola canal, as the canal is much needed by the local community.
