In Pictures: Covid vaccination for children begins in Dhaka

The Covid-19 vaccination for children aged 5-11 began in Dhaka on Thursday morning. 

Health workers started the special inoculation program at 28 centres of the two city corporation areas of Dhaka.

Health Minister Zahid Maleque had said that about 25 million children will be brought under vaccination.

A total of 1,502,400 doses of the first batch of Pfizer vaccine, which is specially formulated for children between the ages of five and 11, arrived in Dhaka on July 30.
