Four doctors of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) have been home quarantined to stem the spread of coronavirus.
DMCH Principal Prof Dr Khan Abul Kalam Azad confirmed the matter on Wednesday.
He said: "Two doctors from the nephrology department and two from the medicine department have been asked to stay in home quarantine.
"None of them are infected. However, they provided treatment to 10 patients of whom four tested positive for coronavirus."
A total of 11 people have been infected with coronavirus in Bangladesh till date, of whom three have already recovered.
The Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) confirmed 16 people have been placed under isolation while 43 people were under institutional quarantine and till now 277 people in Bangladesh underwent testing for novel coronavirus Covid-19.
Covid-19, a new strain of coronavirus, has killed over 7,900 people around the world.
As of now, over 199,000 people have been infected by the strain, which spread from China’s Wuhan city at the end of December 2019.
