The first-year honors admission test for academic session 2019-20 of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet) will be held on Monday.
As the admission test will be held from 9am to 12noon, Buet authorities have advised the admission seekers to be present in the campus before 8am to avoid possible traffic congestion.
The authorities advised the admission seekers to the Department of Architecture to be present on the campus before two-hours of the scheduled time which will be held from 2pm to 4pm, reports BSS.
A total of 12,161 eligible candidates are vying against 1,060 seats.
The result of the examination is expected to publish on November 5, says a press release.
Earlier on Saturday, protesting Buet students suspended their protest for the next two days, for the smooth completion of the university's entry test, considering the suffering of admission seekers and their guardians.
The Buet students called off their program temporarily on the sixth consecutive day of their demonstration, in protest of the murder of their fellow student Abrar Fahad.
The students also pledged to provide assistance to all the admission seekers and their guardians during the examination.
Abrar Fahad, a second year student of EEE department, was tortured to death allegedly by some leaders of Bangladesh Chhatra League's Buet unit. The murder took place inside the university's Sher-e-Bangla Hall in the early hours of October 7.
