DUJA photo exhibition on Bangabandhu

About 200 photographs on Bangabandhu were put on display

Marking the National Mourning Day on the 44th martyrdom of the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Dhaka University Journalists’ Association (DUJA) organized a day-long photo exhibition, titled “Amar Kobir Smritigatha (Memories of Immortal Poet)” at the Teacher-Student Center (TSC) of Dhaka University (DU) on Tuesday.

DU Vice Chancellor Prof Md Akhtaruzzaman inaugurated the exhibition in the morning.

DU Pro-VC Professor Dr Muhammad Samad, Dhaka University Teachers’ Association President Prof Dr Maksud Kamal, DUJA President Rayhanul Islam Abir, DUJA General Secretary Md Mahdi-Al-Muhtasim Nibir, Bangladesh Chhatra League President Md Rezwanul Haque Chowdhury Shovon, teachers, staff, DUJA members and students were present at the event.

They also paid tribute to the makeshift mural of Bangbandhu and placed floral wreaths as a mark of respect. 

After paying tributes, leaders and members of DUJA along with the Vice Chancellor and Pro-VC went round to see the exhibits. 

About 200 photographs on the life of Bangabandhu and 1971 Liberation War have been put on display.
