Chhatra League's victory in the recently-held Ducsu polls reflects the choice of the general students of Dhaka University, says Dhaka University Chhatra League General Secretary—and newly elected Assistant General Secretary—Md Saddam Hussain.

He stated this while addressing the press in front of Madhur Canteen  at Dhaka University (DU) on Wednesday afternoon.

Rejecting all allegations made against Chhatra League—by the opposition panels—regarding the Ducsu polls, Saddam said: "We will fulfill all the promises we made. We have started a new journey to make a better, more prosperous, and developed Dhaka University through the Ducsu polls."

Responding to a question regarding the allegations of Chhatra League being responsible for all the irregularities during the polls he said: "We are not embarrassed. Chhatra League, as an organization, is not ashamed or embarrassed as our organization has secured a landslide victory; which reflects the support and choice made by the general students of our university.

"We are not responsible for the Maitree Hall incident. Even the ones making allegations could not blame Chhatra League for the found pre-cast ballots. In fact, because of this incident we were unable to secure all the posts in the polls."

"I believe the university authority and administration will find the ones responsible for this," he added.
