Sampriti Bangladesh has emphasized the significance of the youth vote – in the upcoming general election – as it can determine a party’s win.
The speakers made the statements at an event "National Polls: Expectations of the Youth," held at the Centre on Integrated Rural Development for Asia and the Pacific, on Thursday.
Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry Director Sharita Millat said: "To maintain the development activities that are underway in Bangladesh, youths should understand for which political parties to vote.
“They should have faith in those who believe in the spirit of our Liberation War."
Dr Nujhat Chowdhury, central member of Sampriti Bangladesh, said: "The youth always plays a vital role in a country's elections. In the upcoming parliamentary polls, the youth vote will be a considerable factor in determining the winning party."
“In the history of Bangladesh, the youth have always played an important role in the country’s achievements—and will continue to do so in the future,” Imdadul Haque Milon, editor of Kalerkhantho, said.
Film actor Ferdous said: “A large number of film actors, actresses, and media personalities have decided campaign in this election.
“We are participating because we want to let the young generation know how important their votes are in the election.”
