NSU launches South Asian institute of Policy and Governance

The institute has already acclaimed due to its relentless endeavor in knowledge creation and dissemination on policy and governance issues across national, cross national and regional level

North South University (NSU) has launched the South Asian Institute of Policy and Governance (SIPG).

The opening ceremony took place at the university campus on Saturday.

The Institute has been launched to establish itself with an aim to be the leading academic institution and think tank in the field of policy and governance in South Asia.

Former adviser to the caretaker government Dr Akbar Ali Khan was the chief guest at the event.

Norwegian Ambassador Sidsel Bleken, Nepalese Ambassador Prof Chop Lal Bhusal and Member of NSU Board of Trustees MA Kashem, attended the ceremony as special guests. 

NSU Pro VC Prof GU Ahsan chaired the session. 

The institute has already acclaimed due to its relentless endeavor in knowledge creation and dissemination on policy and governance issues across national, cross national and regional level.

The uniqueness of the institute is the effective South –South and North –South partnership in the field of academic and research with countries such as Norway, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bhutan. 

A Book titled ‘Civil Service Management and Administrative Systems in South Asian’ published by Palgrave Macmilan, was also launched at the program.
