Missing NSU teacher Mubashar returns after 44 days

North South University (NSU) teacher Dr Mubashar Hasan Cesar, who had gone missing on November 7, has returned home after 44 days. Mubashar’s father Motahar Hossain confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune Friday morning. He said: “A group of people dropped my son in the Airport area. He returned home in an autorickshaw around 1am. “He called us up over the phone and told us that he does not have money to pay the autorickshaw driver. So we went downstairs and paid the fare.” Motahar said: “Mubashar is sleeping now.”Khilgaon police station Officer-in-Charge Moshiur said: "We heard about Mubashar’s return from his family members. We will talk to him in the afternoon." Mubashar’s sister Tamanna Tasnim also confirmed the matter in a Facebook post earlier in the morning. Tamanna told the Dhaka Tribune: "He is in a shock and traumatized."

Mubashar, an assistant professor at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences in North South University, went missing on November 7. The next day, his family had lodged a general diary with Khilgaon police.
