“Md Saifur Rahman, assistant engineer and also acting executive engineer of CCC, was arrested from Kotwali area around 10am”, said Assistant Director of the ACC Chittagong District 1 zone.
The ACC official said ACC head office’s Deputy Director (DD) Hamidul Hasan had filed a case against the CCC engineer on July 17, 2016 with Khulshi police station for accumulating wealth worth Tk3.3 millions and also concealing wealth information of about Tk1.40 lakh.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Nirmalendu Bikash Chawakrabarty told the Dhaka Tribune that the CCC official was produced before the court of 5th Metropolitan Magistrate Abu Salem Noman and the court sent him to jail.”
