A Dhaka court on Wednesday granted permanent bail to actor and singer Tahsan Khan in a case filed over embezzlement through fraudulent activities
The case was filed by a customer of the online marketplace Evaly.
Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Md Rezaul Karim Chowdhury granted the bail to Tahsan after he surrendered before the court and sought permanent bail.
On January 20, the High Court granted him anticipatory bail for eight weeks in the case.
On December 4 last year, one Saad Sam Rahman filed the case with Dhaka’s Dhanmondi police station against nine people including Mithila.
The other accused in the case are Evaly CEO Mohammad Rassel, Evaly Chairman Shamima Nasrin, actor Rafiath Rashid Mithila, Shabnam Faria, Md Akash, Arif Hossain, Taher Mia, and Md Abu Taish Kayes.
