A Dhaka court on Monday asked the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to interrogate model Faria Mahabub Piasha at the jail gate in a case filed under the Narcotics Control Act with Vatara police station in Dhaka.
Metropolitan Magistrate Devdas Chandra Adhikari passed the order after CID produced her before the court, seeking a five days fresh remand for interrogation.
Opposing the remand plea, the defence lawyer also submitted a bail petition for Piasha but the court rejected both the pleas after hearing.

After completion of her remand in two phases, on August 11, the court sent Piasha to jail rejecting her bail and remand petitions in the case.
Earlier on August 1, the Detective Branch of police arrested model Piasha from the capital’s Baridhara area and recovered liquor from her residence.
