Another senior lawyer has died of coronavirus in Chittagong.
The deceased is Mahfuz ul Alam, 60.
He took his last breath at Chittagong General Hospital on Saturday (April 10) morning.
AHM Ziauddin, general secretary of the Chittagong District Bar Association confirmed the news to UNB.
According to him, Mahfuz tested positive three weeks ago and has been taking treatment at the hospital for the last 15 days.
As his condition deteriorated, he was shifted to ICU 2-3 days ago.
According to AHM Ziauddinn, 32 lawyers in Chittagong have died of Covid-19 since the emergence of the virus last year.
