A Dhaka court has scrapped a plea seeking bail by contractor Golam Kibria Shamim alias GK Shamim in a case filed against him for amassing illegal wealth.
Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge KM Imrul Qayes passed the order on Sunday after holding hearing on the plea, reports BSS.
Meanwhile, the court set March 3 for submitting probe report in the case as investigation officer failed to submit the report.
On October 21, 2019, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed the case against GK Shamim and his mother Ayesha Akter for amassing illegal wealth of Tk297.08 crore.
