HC to deliver verdict on Rajib's compensation on June 20

The Titumir College student died after losing his hand between two buses last year

The High Court has set June 20 to deliver its verdict on a ruling directing the authorities concerned to pay Tk1cr in compensation to the family of Government Titumir College student Rajib Hossain.

The bench of Justice JBM Hassan and Justice MD Khairul Alam set the date, at the hearing of the ruling on Thursday.

On May 19, the court had set Thursday to deliver the verdict.  

Rajib Hossain, a 20-year-old student of Government Titumir College, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital on April 17; after spending two weeks in a coma because he lost a hand between two buses in Kawran Bazar. 

On May 8, the Court ordered the bus companies to pay Tk1 crore to Rajib's family as compensation. BRTC and Sajan Paribahan challenged the order.
