A case was filed against publisher and editor of the daily Naya Diganta and a Dhaka University teacher for publishing a write-up allegedly defaming Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The accused are Naya Diganta Publisher Shamsul Huda, Editor Alamgir Mohiuddin and Professor Morshed Hasan Khan of the marketing department at Dhaka University.
Jabedul Ajam Masud, a former president of the Chittagong city unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League, filed the case with the Chittagong Metropolitan Magistrate Court 5 of Al Imran Khan on Wednesday.

Taking cognizance of the case, the court asked the officer-in-charge of Panchlaish police station to take steps after investigation, said Ibrahim Hossain Chowdhury Babul, lawyer for the petitioner.
Masud alleged Prof Morshed in his write-up, published in the newspaper on March 26, claimed that Awami League leaders along with Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman fled the country during the Independence War of 1971.
