The petition was filed by Supreme Court lawyer Jyotirmoy Barua on behalf of two Santal women, Olivia Hembrom and Rumila Kisku.
The writ asks the court to ensure that the law and home secretaries submit reports before the court after the investigation by judicial commission is complete.
The writ was filed due to a lack of response from a legal notice sent to authorities concerned on November 15.
The petition also prayed that the court issue a ruling asking for explanations from the government why the looting, arson attack, open fire and killing in the name of eviction should not be declared illegal.
It also sought a ruling to ask why the authorities would not be directed to take legal actions under the Code of Criminal Procedure law against the persons involved in the attack.
Twelve people including four secretaries and a local lawmaker have been made respondents to the petition.
The writ petition will be placed before a High Court bench on Tuesday, Jyotirmoy said.
On November 6 and 7, the upazila administration evicted around 600 Santal households from their ancestral land in Sahebganj-Bagda sugarcane farm area.
Three Santal men died and many more injured when they protested the eviction. The eviction was carried out by police, RAB and BGB members and assisted by local Bangalis allegedly loyal to the local lawmaker.
