Three Bangladeshi nationals have been arrested at the Indo-Bangla border, in the Puratan Rajbari area near Belonia in Tripura.
The arrested were identified as Hossai Miah, Babul Miah and Iqbal Miah.
Tripura Police arrested them during routing patrols along the frontier on Saturday, reports India Today.
They later appeared before the Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate Court. During the court hearing, Hossain Miah managed to escape, said Belonia police station Officer-in-Charge Firoz Miah.
Ipper Monchak, the Superintendent of Police of South Tripura has ordered an inquiry into the escape.
