Water levels at 30 river stations monitored by the Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked a rise, while 86 stations have recorded a fall.
Among the 119 monitored river stations, water levels at three stations remained steady and not one flowed above the danger level, a bulletin issued by the FFWC said on Sunday.
The water levels of all major rivers are flowing below the danger level, read the bulletin.
In the basins of the Gomti, Muhuri, Feni, Halda, Sangu, and Matamuhuri rivers in Chittagong division, there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall on day one, moderate to heavy on day two, and heavy to very heavy rainfall on day three.
The water levels of these rivers may decrease on day one, remain stable on day two, and increase on day three; however, they are expected to flow below the danger level, it added.
The water levels of the Surma and Kushiyara rivers are decreasing. They may continue to decrease over the next day, remain stable over the following two days, and are expected to flow below the danger level.
The water levels of the Brahmaputra-Jamuna river system are decreasing.
This trend may continue for the next three days, followed by stability for the next two days, and the rivers are expected to flow below the danger level.
The water levels of the Ganges and Padma rivers are decreasing. This trend may continue for the next five days and the rivers are expected to flow below the danger level.
