Engineer Md Riazul Islam has been appointed as the chairman of the Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk) for a two-year term, with the Ministry of Public Administration issuing a notification regarding this appointment on Saturday.
According to the notification, he will succeed the current Chairman Major General (Retd) Siddiqur Rahman.
His appointment is contingent upon resigning from any other profession, business, or employment with any government, semi-government, private institution, or organization.
Previously, on October 26, the government appointed Riazul Islam as a member (Planning) of Rajuk for a two-year term.
Additionally, he serves as the president of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB).
