Under the initiative of the interim government and the Ministry of Health, seven individuals injured in the July uprising have been sent to Singapore for advanced medical treatment.
They departed for the Singapore National Eye Centre on a Bangladesh Biman Airlines flight at 8:30am on Friday, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Senior Information Officer Mohammad Shahadat Hossain said.
The seven individuals are Abdullah Al Baki, Akhtar Hossain, Md Yamin, Foyez Ahmed, Minhajul Islam Shuvo, Mohammad Ramzan, and Salman Bin Shoaib.
Previously, they received treatment at the National Institute of Ophthalmology and Hospital.
