The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus) has announced another increase in gold prices in the local market.
The price of 22-carat gold per bhori has been raised by Tk1,666, taking the new price from Tk1,37,227 to Tk1,38,339, which will be effective from Tuesday.
The new prices are 21-carat gold at Tk 1,32,095 per bhori, 18-carat gold at Tk 1,13,234 per bhori and traditional gold at Tk 92,939 per bhori.
Earlier, on December 1, the price per bhori was reduced by Tk1,481.
The price of silver remains unchanged.
The current prices of silver per bhori are 22-carat at Tk 2,578, 21-carat at Tk 2,449, 18-carat at Tk 2,111 and traditional silver at Tk1,586.
