The identities of the president and secretary of the Chhatra Shibir, the student wing of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, at Jahangirnagar University (JU) have been revealed.
A statement was published on social media in this regard on Tuesday night. The statement disclosed their identities.
The president of the university branch of Chhatra Shibir is Harunur Rashid Rafi, a student of the Archaeology department from the 2016-17 session while the secretary is Muhibur Rahman Muhib, a student of the Bangla department from the 2017-18 session.
Additionally, the publicity secretary is Abdullah Al Mamun Saki, a student of the Philosophy department from the 2017-18 session.
Previously, leaders of this organization, which had kept their political identities hidden for a long time, have come forward at several universities, including Dhaka University, Chittagong University, Rajshahi University and Jagannath University.
