The appointment of Mohammad Mojammel Haque as the personal secretary to the Chief Adviser of the interim government, Dr Muhammad Yunus, has been cancelled.
He was appointed to this significant position in an order issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Tuesday evening.
On Wednesday, the internal recruitment branch of the Ministry of Public Administration released a notice regarding this matter, signed by Senior Assistant Secretary Nilufa Yasmin.
The notice stated that the assignment of Mohammad Mojammel Haque (Identification No. 209), Director General, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission at the Bangladesh Embassy in China, as the Advisor's private secretary has been cancelled due to unavoidable circumstances.
Mojammel Haque is currently serving as director general of Minister (political) and Deputy Chief of Mission at the Bangladesh Embassy in Beijing.
He is a member of the 25th batch of the BCS Foreign Service cadre.
After completing his studies at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet), he joined the Foreign Service. Throughout his professional career, he has served as Deputy Ambassador in China and has also taken on highly challenging roles in Mexico and war-torn Libya.
