Authorities have appointed Md Nazrul Islam, associate professor at the Department of Radiology and Imaging of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) as the facility’s new registrar (acting).
On Saturday, Dr Md Delwar Hossain, the additional registrar-1 of BSMMU, signed an office order in this regard.
The office order mentioned that Md Nazrul Islam will perform the duty of the registrar as an additional responsibility alongside his current position.
Professor Dr Md Nazrul Islam passed SSC in 1984 and HSC in 1986 under Dhaka Board. He obtained his MBBS degree from Sher-e-Bangla Medical College in 1994. He has obtained FCPS, MD (Doctor of Medicine) and M.Phil degrees. He was previously engaged in teaching as an assistant professor, associate professor and is currently serving as a professor at the Department of Radiology and Imaging.
He also has 36 publications, indexed and non-indexed, in various reputed journals.
He has participated in various trainings and conferences related to medical services and medical profession held in different countries including Bangladesh, Singapore and Germany.
Dr Md Nazrul Islam, an expert in providing ultrasound, x-ray, CT scan and MRI reports, has worked as a medical officer at Habiganj Sadar Hospital.
