The rumour propagated on social media that former state minister Mohammad A Arafat is hiding in French Embassy is a complete lie.
The French embassy made this statement on Wednesday using X, formerly known as Twitter.
Arafat was the state minister for information of the Awami League government that fell on August 5 following mass uprising.
