Like other countries of the world, Bangladesh also celebrated the International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers on Wednesday.
To mark the day, a “Peacekeeper’s Run-2024” was organized at Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) Base Bashar in Dhaka and Zahurul Haque in Chittagong in the morning.
LGRD Minister Md Tazul Islam opened the run by releasing balloons and pigeons at BAF Base Bashar.
The chief guest, in his speech, praised Bangladesh’s role in the peacekeeping missions abroad.
Delegates, resident representatives of the United Nations in Bangladesh, dignitaries, and media personalities participated in the run.
