A garment waste warehouse in Baipail area of Ashulia was destroyed in a fire on Wednesday afternoon.
No casualties were reported, but everything inside the tin-shed warehouse has been damaged.
Fire Service’s DEPZ station officer Pranab Chowdhury said they sent five units to the spot after learning about the fire around 2pm. Later, four units doused the fire within 30 minutes.
“The reason behind the fire and the financial losses can be ascertained after investigations,” he added.
Local sources said the warehouse is run by six people, including Saddam, Mintu, and Helal.
Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), Ashulia police station and Industrial Police visited the spot.
