Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Sharfuddin Ahmed's car has come under attack in Mirpur, Dhaka.
The VC's driver, Shahinur Alam, filed a general diary (GD) with Mirpur model Police Station in this regard on Saturday, the day after the attack.
Debashish Bairagi, the VC’s personal secretary-2 (deputy controller), confirmed the matter.
The GD says that on Friday, after a program at Mohona Television in Mirpur-11, around 5:45pm, while returning, Prof Dr Md Sharfuddin Ahmed’s car was attacked with a crude bomb near Manipur School.
The blast injured Debashish Bairagi slightly and shattered the car's front glass, causing minor injuries to Bairagi and the driver, Md Shahinur Alam, from the glass shards. Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Sharfuddin Ahmed was in the car's back seat during the attack.
