The admission test for BSc (undergraduate) in textile engineering at Bangladesh University of Textiles (Butex) for the 2022-23 academic year was held at the university's Tejgaon campus yesterday.
Seven students contested for each seat amid no reports of any unfair means by the applicants, according to a press release.
The 200-mark test started at 9:30pm and continued without a break till 11am, with 87% of the candidates in attendance. The test results are expected next week.
Butex Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Shah Alimuzzaman, visiting the exam centre, hoped that the next batch of students will be one of the best at the university.
He also thanked the exam committee for conducting the test successfully.
Some of the candidates said the question was quite standard and the environment at the exam centre was student-friendly.
