Bangladesh reported one more Covid-linked death and 134 fresh cases in 24 hours till Wednesday morning.
With the new numbers, the country's total number of fatalities rose to 29,453 and caseload to 2,040,815, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The daily infection rate increased to 9.04% from Tuesday's 6.62% as 1,483 samples were tested.
The recovery rate now stands at 98.35%. However, the death rate remained unchanged at 1.44%.
Bangladesh registered its highest daily caseload of 16,230 on July 28, 2021 and the highest number of fatalities of 264 on August 10 of the same year.
