Freedom fighter and Gonoshasthaya Kendra Founder Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Gonoshasthaya Nagar Hospital in Dhaka.
Gonoshasthaya Kendra Press Advisor Jahangir Alam Mintu said this in a press release on Monday.
Professor Brigadier General (retd) Dr Mamun Mostafi, doctor of the public health centre, said: "Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury was put on life support when his physical condition deteriorated at 10:30am on Monday morning. He is now in the ICU at Gonoshasthaya Nagar Hospital. Medical treatment is going on to improve his health."
On behalf of Gonoshasthaya Kendra, Mohib Ullah urged countrymen to pray for Zafrullah's quick recovery.
Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury is under treatment in the hospital due to physical illness for the past several days.
