World Radio Day is being observed throughout the world on Monday with the theme “Radio and Peace”.
To mark the day, Bangladesh Betar has planned day-long programs,said a press release on Sunday.
A colourful rally will be brought out from Bangladesh Betar premises at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area in the capital at 1:30pm.
It will also organize a discussion meeting which will be attended by Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud.
Information Secretary Md Humayan Kabir Khandakar, and Officer-in-Charge of Unesco Dhaka Office Ms Susan Maree will be present as special guests at the event while Director General of Bangladesh Betar Nasrullah Md Irfan will preside over the meeting.
A cultural function will be arranged on the occasion as well.
