Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque on Thursday said his ministry is preserving the heroic works of all the living valiant freedom fighters.
"For this reason, the works of 'Birer Konthey Birgantha' project have already started," he said at the book unveiling ceremony of “Swadhinota '71- Muktijuddey Janajoddha”, written by freedom fighter Lt Colonel (retd) Abdur Rauf, Bir Bikram, at a Dhaka hotel as the chief guest, a press release said.
Mozammel said the more the new generation learns the history of the Liberation War, the more they will take the country forward with patriotism.
The minister also called upon researchers and heroic freedom fighters to write more books on the war.
With valiant freedom fighter Lt Col (retd) Helal Uddin in the chair, the program was addressed, among others, by lawmaker Simeen Hussain (Rimi) and former foreign secretary Shamsher Mobin Chowdhury, Bir Bikram.
