The Ministry of Liberation War Affairs will no longer accept applications for inclusion in the official gazette list of freedom fighters after October 7, according to a public notice issued on Thursday.
The notice said no applications for gazette inclusion as freedom fighters would be accepted after the deadline.
Earlier, on September 28, the parliamentary committee on the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs recommended that the ministry prepare and submit reports on an “authentic list” of those martyred in the Liberation War and a “genuine list” of freedom fighters.
