A Dhaka court on Tuesday sent Amatullah Bushra, the prime accused in the murder case of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet) student Fardin Noor Parash, to jail rejecting her bail petitions in a case filed with Rampura police station.

Metropolitan Magistrate Md Ataullah passed the order after investigation officer (IO) and DB Inspector Md Mujibur Rahman produced her before the court upon completion of her five-day remand.

The investigation officer said: “We requested her to be detained in jail until the investigation is completed for proper investigation of the case. The judge gave the order in view of the application.”

The defence counsel had filed a bail petition mentioning that Bushra was not involved with the offence.

After hearing both the sides, the court sent her to jail.

Earlier on November 10, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mehedi Hasan, granted five-day police remand to Bushra in the case.

Earlier, Fardin's father Nuruddin Rana filed a case with Rampura police station against Bushra and some unidentified person.
