After several media reports that Rahima Begum had disappeared again, Aduri denied the claims.
Aduri said: “Neither I nor my mother are murder suspects. Can't she go somewhere? I did not file any complaints, neither I said she was missing,” Aduri said on Monday.
Rahima Begum was reportedly staying with her daughter Aduri after being released by the court.
The Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) is likely to submit the probe report in a case filed over the disappearance of Rahima Begum in Khulna within October.
The law enforcers are waiting for information from a leading mobile financial service provider (MFSP) over some transactions made through Rahima’s phone number.
Rahima, whose family claimed she went missing, reappeared after 29 days on September 24, but not before her family members had filed a case and six people were arrested.
Police initially suspected that she had left her home due to some family dispute over land.
The entire incident got diverted when her daughter Moriom Mannan claimed to have traced her dead body on September 22.
However, the police rescued her from a house in Faridpur on September 24.
