Travelettes of Bangladesh, a woman's travelling organization arranged the Peace Concert as part of their
two-day programme for the upcoming World Peace Day.
The concert took place at the Dhaka University TSC Auditorium on Saturday, according to a media
statement.
The concert was part of their two-day programme that included workshops with the slogan "End
Racism. Build Peace."
As many as 200 volunteers took part in the programme.
Travelettes of Bangladesh started with a goal to "empower women through travelling" six years ago.
In addition to creating awareness regarding travelling, they launched the Gender on the occasion of
their Gender Equity and Empowerment Program (GEEP) on September 1, 2021.
They are engaged in various social work including preventing child marriage and creating awareness
about good touch and bad touch.
