A non-profit organization “Amrai Kingbodonti Foundation”, run by former students of SSC 2000 and HSC 2002 batches, distributed approximately 800 winter garments (blankets) to underprivileged individuals in Lalmonirhat on December 20, 2024.
The distribution events took place at the premises of Dakshin Sindurna Government Primary School in Hatibandha Upazila and Hari Shahar Orphanage and Hafezia Madrashah in Kaliganj Upazila.
Dedicated to the welfare of humanity, Amrai Kingbodonti Foundation was established with the aim of supporting not only their own batchmates who are in need but also neglected segments of society. This initiative to provide warmth during the harsh winter months is part of their ongoing activities.
To ensure the event’s success, local volunteers visited remote villages beforehand to identify the most vulnerable individuals and distribute tokens for an organized and efficient process. The distribution took place in an orderly manner on the scheduled date, involving local dignitaries and volunteers from both Dhaka and Lalmonirhat.
Registered on September 5, 2019 with the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms, Amrai Kingbodonti Foundation originated from a Facebook-based group, "SSC 2000 and HSC 2002 (Amrai Kingbodonti)," launched on 15 November 2017. The group now boasts nearly 51,000 members.
The foundation remains committed to extending basic healthcare and essential services to disadvantaged communities across the country while supporting their own less fortunate members.
