VSO Bangladesh, in association with the Institute of Disaster Management and Vulnerability Studies, Dhaka University, and National Youth Platform, organized an event to observe International Volunteer Day 2023 on December 5.
International Volunteer Day (IVD) is celebrated every year worldwide. This year, the global theme of IVD 2023 is "If Everyone Did..." - focusing on the power of collective action through volunteerism, according to a press release issued on Friday.
Prof Dr Mahbuba Nasreen, pro-vice-chancellor (academic), Bangladesh Open University, and the regional lead of GRRIPP South Asia, was one of the guest speakers for the session – “Adolescents and youth health effect on climate change issues”.
She shared her research experiences and some of the key findings in “Persons with Disabilities” session.
