Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast showers across Bangladesh in 24 hours commencing 9am on Monday.
“Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions; at a few places over Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions and at one or two places over Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over the country,” said a Bangladesh Meteorological Department office bulletin.
Day temperature may rise by 1-2°C and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across central part of Bangladesh.
One of its associated troughs extends up to Northwest Bay. Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate elsewhere over North Bay.
