Biman Bangladesh Airlines has officially begun commercial flights in the Dhaka-Toronto-Dhaka route.
Flight BG-305 will take off from Hazrat Shahajalal International Airport (HSIA) at 3:30am on Wednesday.
The flights will be operated through the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners which are new additions to the Biman fleet.
Biman Public Relations General Manager Tahera Khandaker confirmed the matter in a media statement on Tuesday.
Two flights will operate on the route every week, according to the statement.
The flight will take off from Dhaka at 3:30am every Wednesday with a one-hour stop-over at Istanbul, Turkey for refueling. It is expected to reach Toronto at 1:55pm.
Another flight will take off on Sunday at 3am with a similar stoppage and reach Toronto at 1:25pm.
Meanwhile, the Dhaka-bound direct flight of 16 hours will take off from Toronto at 7:30pm local time every Wednesday and reach Dhaka at 9:30pm.
Every Sunday, the Dhaka-bound flight will take off at 9pm local time and reach Dhaka at 11pm.
