Bangladesh Jewelers Association (Bajus) on Thursday said it was hiking gold prices by Tk1,167 after reducing it twice in two days.
As a result, 22-carat gold will cost Tk97,628, 21-carat Tk93,195, 18-carat Tk79,898 and traditional gold Tk66,543 from Friday.
Bajus adjusted the prices of gold in line with an increase in the price of pure gold in the domestic market.
On March 18, the association increased the price of the precious metal to a historic high of Tk98,794 per bhori, which was followed by two price drops on Tuesday and Wednesday.
